ゼルダの伝説 ブレス オブ ザ ワイルドは王様です
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now the official best-selling game of the franchise, in its home turf of Japan. The figures have knocked the former title holder, Ocarina of Time into second place.
BotW has now sold 1.258 million copies, and when compared to OoT’s 1.257 million, that’s a lot of copies more.
The game was a launch title for the handheld console, a system that has made Nintendo a massive player in the industry once more. However, it should be remembered that BotW, at its heart, was a port from the Wii U to the system, so it’s likely we will see another Zelda title on the Switch before the end of its lifespan.
The game was considered a risk as it broke away from the tried and trusted Zelda formula, by opening up the world as a sandbox game, and not even forcing Link into the traditional green Zelda garb. However, the risk seems to have paid off with fans rewarding Nintendo by snapping up copies of the game in their droves. At one point the game had sold more copies than systems sold.
The game went on to win numerous awards and accolades and is already considered one of the greatest games of all-time.
